Application Instructions
STEP 1

Submit a formal CSUN application. This may be done in one of the following ways:
Submit online: online application (this is the preferred and most efficient mode of application).
Submit by email: print the MCR application, complete the application, and email to patricia.lyon@csun.edu.
Submit by regular mail: U. S. postal mail by printing, completing, and mailing your completed application to the following address.

STEP 2 Submit a copy of your transcripts confirming completion of a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university. Please provide the transcript related to the highest degree. May be sent separately from the application but must be received no later than the application date.
STEP 3 Submit a current resume. May be sent separately from the application but must be received no later than the application date.
STEP 4 Pay the non-refundable application fee of $45 by check made payable to CSUN and send to the address shown above (to Tseng College Registration and Client Services) or provide information on the paper application to make payment by credit card. May be sent separately from the application but must be received no later than the application date.

Important Notes

This program is not eligible for government sponsored financial aid.

The full tuition for an academic term will be waived only if the Public Sector Programs office receives written notification of a student's intent to withdraw prior to the first day of the first class of that term. Exceptions may be made for medical or other emergency situations. Contact Pat Lyon at (818) 677-4607 orPatricia.Lyon@csun.edu for further information.

"Full tuition for an academic term" includes the fees for all Tseng College courses in which a student is enrolled that are offered during that term. Cohort students withdrawing from a program on or after the first day of the first class of the term will be fully responsible for the total tuition amount charged for that academic term even if some classes in that term have not yet begun.
Scholarship Opportunity
Eligibility Requirements

Scholarships will be awarded based upon:
Formal admission to the program for which they are seeking a scholarship.
Learner financial need as established through submission of a financial information document, part of the scholarship application;
A 250 – 300 word personal statement that describes his/her reason for pursuing this course of study and the need for the scholarship funds by the applicant.

Ineligibility rules:
California State University employees, relatives or household members of the same are not eligible to apply.
Learners who are sponsored by an organization or company and, therefore, do not have to use personal funds to finance their education are ineligible.
How to Apply for the Scholarship

You must apply and be admitted into the MCR program to be eligible for the scholarship.
Complete the online scholarship application and provide transcripts.
Complete the demonstration of financial need form and submit by email or fax along with your resume.

You will be contacted within three working days of submission to confirm receipt of your online scholarship application. If you have questions, please contact jesse.knepper@csun.edu. All applicants will be notified of award decisions within a few weeks prior to the start of the cohort.
